Anne has been painting from as far back as she can remember and says that ''it was therefore a natural progression to study art and then become a professional artist.''
Her work is about crystallising a moment and her interest often lies in the rhythms and tensions that exist in the landscape. Anne tries to express this with a coherence that reaches the onlooker, but is not so explicit that it precludes a contribution from them, in both reason and emotion. The marks provide both questions and answers, the outcome is never a resolution, and so the rhythm and tension continue.
